Production (Bindery)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Bindery Operator to join our printing press team. 

Our ideal candidate has experience with commercial machine operation, and you should be comfortable setting up or configuring automated cutters, saddle-stitchers, and folders. You should also have some mechanical skills to troubleshoot issues with equipment and replace worn parts as needed. This is partially a quality assurance role, so the ability to understand the parameters of each printing job and an eye for detail are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate commercial bindery equipment, including saddle-stitchers, folders, and cutters
  • Ensure production quality
  • Replace cutting blades as necessary
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Experience operating commercial bindery equipment (preferred)
  • Ability to understand production reports
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Mechanical skills
  • Attention to detail
